Joaquín Toscani (born 25 February 2002)[1] is an internationalfield hockey player fromArgentina.[2][3]
Toscani has an older brother,Lucas, who also plays international field hockey for Argentina.[4]
Toscani made his international debut forArgentina at under–21 level. He made his first appearances for thejunior national team in 2021.[5] He was a member of the squad at the delayedPan American Junior Championship inSantiago, where he won a silver medal.[6] Later that year he won a gold medal winning at theFIH Junior World Cup inBhubaneswar.[7][8]
Throughout 2023, Toscani continued to represent the national junior team. He was a member of the gold medal winning squad at thePan American Junior Championship inSaint Michael. At the conclusion of the competition, he was awarded the Player of the Tournament trophy.[6] He also represented the team at his secondFIH Junior World Cup inKuala Lumpur.[5][9]
In 2024, Toscani received his first call-up toLos Leones. He earned his first senior internationalcap during a match againstBelgium inSantiago del Estero, during thefifth season of theFIH Pro League.[4][5]
Since his debut, he has made more appearances for the national team during thesixth season of the FIH Pro League.[5] In 2025, he was named in the squad for the2025 Pan American Cup inMontevideo.[10] At the tournament he scored his first international goal, helping Argentina secure a gold medal.[11][12]
