Joanna Catherine Going[1] (born July 22, 1963)[2] is an American actress known for the television seriesKingdom,House of Cards,Mad Men and the movieWyatt Earp.
Going's father was of Irish descent, and her mother of Italian and French-Canadian.[1]
Going appeared in soap operas in the late 1980s, most notably as Lisa Grady onAnother World from 1987 to 1989.[3] She portrayed lead characterVictoria Winters in the 1991 primetime seriesDark Shadows.[3] She later starred in short-lived television seriesGoing to Extremes and guest-starred onColumbo,Spin City,The Outer Limits andLaw & Order.
She starred in a number of feature films. She made her film debut inWyatt Earp (1994) asJosephine Marcus, and later had major roles inEden,Keys to Tulsa,Inventing the Abbotts, andStill Breathing. Her biggest role may be in the 1998 film version ofPhantoms. In the 2000s, she starred in several television films and guest-starred onCSI: Crime Scene Investigation,Criminal Minds, andMad Men. She also appeared oppositeSean Penn in the 2011 filmThe Tree of Life, her first role in a major motion picture since 2003'sRunaway Jury. In 2014, she starred as First Lady Tricia Walker in the second season ofNetflix political seriesHouse of Cards. She was later cast in theDirecTV seriesKingdom.[4][5][6]

Going married actorDylan Walsh on October 10, 2004. They have a daughter, Stella Haven.[8] On December 15, 2010, Walsh announced he had filed for divorce;[9] the divorce was finalized in December 2012.[10]
