Jiran Gachhi is a village within the jurisdiction of theBhangar police station in theBhangar IICD block in theBaruipur subdivision of theSouth 24 Parganas district in theIndianstate ofWest Bengal.

Baruipur subdivision is a rural subdivision with moderate levels of urbanization. 31.05% of the population lives in the urban areas and 68.95% lives in the rural areas. In the northern portion of the subdivision (shown in the map alongside) there are 10census towns. The entire district is situated in theGanges Delta and the northern part of the subdivision is a flat plain bordering the metropolis ofKolkata.[3][4][5]

A short stretch of local roads link Jiran Gachhi to theState Highway 3.[7]
Jiran Gachhi Rural Hospital, with 30 beds, is the major government medical facility in the Bhangar II CD block.[8]
