TheJinhua dialect (Chinese:金华话/金華話;pinyin:Jīnhuáhuà, Urban-Centre Jinhua dialectIPA:/tɕiŋ334-33uɑ313-45uɑ14/) is a dialect ofWu Chinese spoken in the city ofJinhua,China and the surrounding region in centralZhejiang province.[1] With its largest community of speakers in the easternWucheng andJindong districts of the city, the Jinhua dialect branch has been classified as part of theWuzhou subfamily[2] of Wu, or as part of the proposedJinqu subfamilyof Wu.[3]
