James Edward Fitzmorris Jr. (November 15, 1921 – June 30, 2021) was an American politician who served on theNew Orleans City Council from 1954 to 1966[1] and as the 46thlieutenant governor of Louisiana from 1972 to 1980.[2][3]
Fitzmorris graduated fromLoyola University New Orleans in 1962 and was an initiated member ofTau Kappa Epsilon fraternity from theUniversity of New Orleans.[4]
