TheJim Thorpe Award, named in memory of multi-sport athleteJim Thorpe, has been awarded to the topdefensive back incollege football since 1986. It is voted on by theOklahoma Sports Hall of Fame. In 2017, the award became sponsored byPaycom and was named thePaycom Jim Thorpe Award.[1]
