
Jibneh Arabieh (Arabic:جبنة عربية; alsojibni) is a soft whitecheese found all over theMiddle East. It is particularly popular in thePersian Gulf region. The cheese has a mild taste similar tofeta but less salty. The heritage of the product started withBedouins usinggoat orsheep milk; however, current practice is to usecow's milk to make the cheese. Jibneh Arabieh is used for cooking, or simply as a table cheese.
