The Top 80 was designed to comply with the USFAR 103 Ultralight Vehicles rules as well as European regulations. It features aparaglider-style wing, single-place accommodation and a single 15 hp (11 kW)Per Il Volo Top 80 engine inpusher configuration with a 2.25:1 ratio reverse-turning gear boxreduction drive and a 123 cm (48 in) diameter two-bladed wooden propeller. The fuel tank capacity is 7 litres (1.5 imp gal; 1.8 US gal).[1]
As is the case with all paramotors, take-off and landing is accomplished by foot. Inflight steering is accomplished via handles that actuate the canopy brakes, creating roll and yaw.[1]
Reviewer Rene Coulon wrote in 2003 that the line of paramotors produced by the company were, "reliable, light, yet powerful, well balanced statically and dynamically."[1]
