American track and field athlete
Jeron Robinson (born April 30, 1991, inAngleton, Texas ) is an Americantrack and field high jumper . He is a three timeNCAA Div II Outdoor Champion (2013-2015) while jumping forTexas A&M–Kingsville . His 2015 victory was capped by a personal best 2.31 m ( 7 ft6+ 3 ⁄4 in), to set theNCAA Division II record.[ 1] He also won the 2013DII Indoor Championships , finishing second and third the following years.[ 2] He was theUSTFCCCA Div. II Male Athlete of the Year in 2014 and 2015.[ 3]
After taking 4th at the 2017 USAs outdoors, Robinson took the 2018 USA championship men's high jump title with a Jump of 2.31m
In 2017, he repeated his 2015 feat finishing 4th at theUSA Outdoor Track and Field Championships .
Fourth place is normally considered the worst position because it just misses qualifying for subsequent competitions, however in 2017, due toErik Kynard already holding a bye asDiamond League Champion , Robinson advanced to the2017 World Championships .
Jeron Robinson signed to representingNike, Inc. and continues to do so since his 2017 US Indoor Championships.

Prior to Texas A&M-Kingville, Robinson jumped forWilliam B. Travis High School inAustin, Texas , where he set the school record at 7 ft 2 in (2.18 m) at 2010Texas Relays .[ 15]
Robinson placed second in the high jump at 2010University Interscholastic League State Track & Field Meet clearing a bar at 7 ft 0 in (2.13 m) as a senior.
Robinson set a 2009 season best in 2.16 m (7 ft 1 in) as a junior.
