Jearl Erwin Margaritha (born 10 April 2000) is a professionalfootballer who plays as aforward forChallenger Pro League clubBeveren. Born in the Netherlands, he plays for theCuraçao national team.
Evolved in youth academies ofGroningen andFC Emmen, Margaritha joined Dutch fifth division sideVV Hoogeveen ahead of2019–20 Hoofdklasse season.[1] On 1 September 2019, he made his competitive debut for the team in a 3–0 loss againstAlphense Boys.[2] He scored his first goal two weeks later in a 5–4 loss againstQuick '20.[3]
On 9 January 2020, Hoogeveen announced the departure of Margaritha toAlmere City.[4] However, it took almost two months to finalize the deal as he didn't have a contract with Hoogeveen.[5][6] On 6 September 2020, he scored his first professional goal in his team's 6–4 win againstExcelsior.[7]
On 4 August 2021, Margaritha joinedEerste Divisie clubTOP Oss.[8] On 29 June 2023, he signed forAzerbaijan Premier League clubSabah on a contract until June 2027.[9]
Margaritha signed withPhoenix Rising FC of theUSL Championship on 16 August 2024.[10]
On 4 August 2025, Margaritha signed a three-year deal with BelgianChallenger Pro League sideBeveren.[11][12]
Born in Netherlands, Margaritha is eligible to play for Curaçao due to his heritage. In November 2020,Curaçao national team head coachGuus Hiddink named Margaritha in 23-man squad for one week's training camp.[13]
Margaritha made his debut for Curaçao on 7 September 2023 in a 1–0 defeat toTrinidad and Tobago.[14] He scored his first four international goals for Curaçao on 15 November 2024 in a 5–0 win overSaint Martin.[15] In June 2025, he was named in the squad for the2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup.[16]
