Jean Lee Yip[2]MP (born 1968)[3][4] is aChinese Canadian politician born inScarborough,Ontario, who was elected to theHouse of Commons in aby-election on December 11, 2017.[5][6][7] She represents the electoral district ofScarborough—Agincourt as a member of theLiberal Party of Canada caucus.
Yip is the widow of her predecessorArnold Chan, and first became prominent in the riding when she took time to assist her husband with constituency political duties during his cancer treatment.[4]
