Jean Serge Essous

Jean Serge Essous (1935 inBrazzaville – November 25, 2009, in Brazzaville[1]) was aCongolesesaxophonist,clarinetist, and cofounder of theAfrika Team inParis,Bantous de la Capital in Brazzaville,OK Jazz andOrchestre Rock a Mambo.[2][3][4] On 11 October 2006,UNESCO Director-GeneralKoïchiro Matsuura designated him aUNESCO Artist for Peace.[2][5]
