Jean Devaivre (born Jean-Justin de Vaivre) (1912–2004) was a Frenchfilm director andscreenwriter.[1] Additionally, he worked as adubbing director, preparing foreign-language films for release in France. The filmSafe Conduct (Laissez-passer, 2002) directed byBertrand Tavernier is based on Devaivre's activities in theFrench film industry during the wartimeOccupation of France.

His brotherLouis Devaivre was afilm editor.
