Jean Frédéric Auguste Delsarte (19 October 1903, inFourmies – 28 November 1968, inNancy) was a Frenchmathematician known for his work inmathematical analysis, in particular, for introducingmean-periodic functions andgeneralised shift operators. He was one of the founders of theBourbaki group. He was aninvited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in 1932 atZürich.
