Andrew Fleming Baker (born March 24, 2000) is an American professionalbaseballpitcher in thePhiladelphia Phillies organization.

Baker began his college baseball career atChipola College. As a freshman, he made 26 appearances and finished the season with a 2–1 record with seven saves and a 5.04 ERA. Baker was also selected in the 16th round of the2019 Major League Baseball Draft by theLos Angeles Dodgers, but opted not to sign and instead transferred to Auburn.[1] As a sophomore at Auburn he had 9.53 earned run average in 5.2 innings pitched over six relief appearances before the season was cut short due to thecoronavirus pandemic. After the school year, Baker transferred back to Chipola College. He made 15 starts and went 7–2 with a 3.45 ERA and 92 strikeouts in57+13 innings pitched.[2]

Baker was selected by thePhiladelphia Phillies in the 11th round of the2021 Major League Baseball Draft.[3] After signing, he was assigned to theRookie-levelFlorida Complex League Phillies, where he made two appearances before being promoted to theLow-AClearwater Threshers. Baker began the 2022 season with theHigh-AJersey Shore BlueClaws before being promoted to theReading Fightin Phils of theDouble-AEastern League.[4]

Griffin Andrew Burkholder (born August 30, 2005) is an Americanbaseball outfielder in thePhiladelphia Phillies organization.

Burkholder grew up inSouth Riding, Virginia and attendedFreedom High School.[5] He batted .487 with two home runs and 16 RBIs as a senior.[6] Burkholder had committed to playcollege baseball atWest Virginia prior to signing with the Phillies.[7]

Burkholder was selected in the second round of the2024 Major League Baseball draft by thePhiladelphia Phillies.[8] He signed with the Phillies on July 23, 2024, and received an above-slot signing bonus of $2.5 million.[9] Burkholder was assigned to theClearwater Threshers of theSingle-AFlorida State League to begin his professional career.[10]

Jean Carlos Eduardo Cabrera (born October 20, 2001) is a Venezuelanprofessional baseballpitcher for thePhiladelphia Phillies ofMajor League Baseball (MLB).

Cabrera signed with thePhiladelphia Phillies as an international free agent in July 2019.[11] He did not play in a game 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of theCOVID-19 pandemic, and did not make his professional debut until 2021 with theDominican Summer League Phillies White.[12] In 13 starts in theDominican Summer League, Cabrera finished with a 1.54 ERA, good for 6th in the league. For his efforts, he was also awarded thePaul Owens Award as the best pitcher in the Phillies system for the 2021 season. Following the season, Cabrera pitched for theTiburones de La Guaira of theVenezuelan Professional Baseball League.[12]

Cabrera was promoted to theClearwater Threshers of theSingle-AFlorida State League to start the 2022 season. On the season, he struggled to a 5.24 ERA over 46.1 innings of work. Returning to Clearwater to start the 2023 season, Cabrera's ERA improved to 4.32 as he threw81+13 innings.[12]

Cabrera started 2024 with theHigh-AJersey Shore BlueClaws of theSouth Atlantic League before being promoted to theReading Fightin Phils of theDouble-AEastern League in July.[13] On November 19, 2024, the Phillies added Cabrera to their40-man roster to protect him from theRule 5 draft.[14]

Cabrera was optioned to Double-A Reading to begin the 2025 season.[15]

Moisés Alejandro Chace (born June 9, 2003) is a Venezuelanprofessional baseballpitcher for thePhiladelphia Phillies ofMajor League Baseball (MLB).

Chace signed with theBaltimore Orioles as an international free agent on July 2, 2019.[16] He did not play in a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of theCOVID-19 pandemic.[17] Chace made his professional debut with theFlorida Complex League Orioles in 2021. Chace spent the 2022 season with theDelmarva Shorebirds of theSingle-ACarolina League, posting a 4.98 ERA in 59.2 innings over 19 appearances around two injured list stints. Returning to Delmarva for the 2023 season, he produced similar numbers, finishing with a 4.50 ERA in 68 across 21 outings.

Chace began the 2024 season with theAberdeen Ironbirds of theHigh-ASouth Atlantic League.[18]

On July 30, 2024, Chace was traded to thePhiladelphia Phillies along withSeth Johnson in exchange forGregory Soto.[19] He was assigned to the High–AJersey Shore BlueClaws before being promoted to theReading Fightin Phils of theDouble-AEastern League in August. On November 19, the Phillies added Chace to their40-man roster to protect him from theRule 5 draft.[20]

Chace was optioned to Double-A Reading to begin the 2025 season.[21]

Otto Severson Kemp (born September 9, 1999) is an Americanprofessional baseballinfielder in thePhiladelphia Phillies organization.

Kemp attendedTroy High School inFullerton, California and playedcollege baseball atPoint Loma Nazarene University. He signed with thePhiladelphia Phillies as an undrafted free agent in 2022.[22]

Kemp spent his first professional season with theFlorida Complex League Phillies andClearwater Threshers. He played 2023 with Clearwater and theJersey Shore BlueClaws and 2024 with Clearwater, Jersey Shore,Reading Fightin Phils andLehigh Valley IronPigs.[23] After the 2024 season he played in theArizona Fall League for theGlendale Desert Dogs.[24]

Matthew James Kroon (born December 5, 1996) is an Americanbaseballinfielder in thePhiladelphia Phillies organization.

The son of MLB playerMarc Kroon, Matt grew up inScottsdale, Arizona, and attendedHorizon High School.[25][26] He received two all-state selections there and batted .412 as asenior; Kroon was selected in the 38th round of the2015 Major League Baseball draft by theCincinnati Reds.[25][27] Rather than sign with the Reds, Kroon playedcollege baseball with theOregon Ducks, batting .184 in 35 games with the team in his first year.[28] He transferred toCentral Arizona College as asophomore and posted 20runs batted in (RBIs) and twohome runs while batting .266 in 46 games for the school.[28]

Kroon was selected by thePhiladelphia Phillies in the 30th round of the2017 Major League Baseball draft, but remained in school, transferring a second time to theOklahoma State Cowboys.[28] He played 57 games with the Cowboys and batted .300 with 11 home runs and 39 RBIs.[29]

Kroon was chosen in the 18th round of the2018 Major League Baseball draft by the Phillies.[30] He played two years at theRookie league andClass A levels, with the 2020 season being canceled due to theCOVID-19 pandemic, before being promoted to theDouble-AReading Fightin Phils in 2021.[31] He batted .301 and had five home runs along with 22 RBIs with the Fightin Phils in 2021, buttore his ACL early on in the 2022 season, resulting in him missing all but two games.[32] He returned in 2023 and played with teams at theHigh-A, Double-A andTriple-A levels, batting a combined .326, which included 11 home runs and 58 RBIs.[33] He began the 2024 season with the Triple-ALehigh Valley IronPigs.[34]

Griffin Thomas McGarry (born June 8, 1999) is an American professionalbaseballpitcher in thePhiladelphia Phillies organization.

McGarry grew up inPortola Valley, California and attended theMenlo School inAtherton, California.[35] He was selected in 31st round by theTexas Rangers in2017 Major League Baseball draft, but opted not to sign with the team.[36]

McGarry playedcollege baseball atVirginia. He posted an 8.15 ERA in 11 appearances as a freshman.[37] Following the season, he playedcollegiate summer baseball with theKeene Swamp Bats of theNew England Collegiate Baseball League.[38] McGarry was named the Cavaliers' opening day starter going into his sophomore season and went 3–5 with a 4.56 ERA.[39] After the 2019 season he played for theHyannis Harbor Hawks in theCape Cod Baseball League.[40][41] As a junior, McGarry went 3–0 with a 1.35 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 20 innings pitched before the season was cut short due to thecoronavirus pandemic.[42] As a senior, he struggled with his control at the start of the season and lost his spot in Virginia's starting rotation.[43] He regained form in the second half of the season after striking out eight batters in 3.1 innings against Old Dominion and finished the season with an 0–5 record with a 5.44 ERA, 69 strikeouts and 42 walks in 43 innings pitched.[42][44] McGarry was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 5th round of the2021 Major League Baseball Draft.[45]

McGarry began his professional career with theLow-AClearwater Threshers. He was promoted to theHigh-AJersey Shore BlueClaws and finished the season with 1–0 record with one save and a 2.96 ERA and 43 strikeouts in24+13 innings pitched.[46]

Mitch Neunborn

Mitchell Carl Neunborn (born June 27, 1997) is a South Africanprofessional baseballpitcher in thePhiladelphia Phillies organization.

Neunborn played collegiately atNorth Iowa Area Community College during the 2017 season, playing shortstop while also pitching occasionally.[47] In 47 games, he hit .331 with 13 home runs. Neunborn also posted a 3.18 ERA over 5.2 innings across three pitching appearances with the Trojans. The following summer, he played for theMedford Rogues, batting .291 with 9 runs in 29 games.[48] Neunborn also made two appearances on the mound, posting a 4.50 ERA in two innings.

He made his professional debut with thePerth Heat of theAustralian Baseball League during the2019-20 ABL season, mostly appearing as a pitcher for the Heat.[49] Neunborn pitched to a 1.86 ERA over 9.2 innings across four appearances. Neunborn signed with theAdelaide Giants for the2019-20 ABL season, during which he'd capture the league's rookie of the year award while pitching to a 1.75 ERA over five starts of 25.2 total innings.[50] During thecancelled 2021-22 ABL season, he pitched for the West Torrens Eagles, pitching to a 0.19 ERA with the club en route to a championship. Returning to Adelaide for the2022-23 ABL season, Neunborn was one of the league's best relief pitchers, registering a 2.25 ERA in 28 innings across 13 appearances. Following the season, Neunborn signed with theQuébec Capitales of theFrontier League. He would also be named to theAustralia national baseball team's roster for the2023 World Baseball Classic the following month.[51]

On March 29, 2023, prior to the start of the2023 Frontier League season, Neunborn's contract was purchased by thePhiladelphia Phillies from the Capitales.[52] He spent the 2023 season with theHigh-AJersey Shore Blue Claws, earning a pitcher of the week nod and later playing in theArizona Fall League.[12] Neunborn would begin the 2024 season with theDouble-AReading Fightin Phils.

Wen Hui Pan (Chinese:潘文輝; born September 19, 2002) is a Taiwaneseprofessional baseballpitcher in thePhiladelphia Phillies organization.

Pan signed with thePhiladelphia Phillies as an international free agent on January 16, 2023.[53] He made his professional debut later that year with theClearwater Threshers of theSingle-AFlorida State League, posting a 2.81 ERA over 57.2 innings of work before earning a late-season promotion to theHigh-AJersey Shore BlueClaws of theSouth Atlantic League, where he allowed 10 runs in 6 innings of work. Pan spent most of 2024 with Jersey Shore while working around injury issues, throwing 21 of his 29.1 total innings for the season with the team. After the season, he was assigned to theGlendale Desert Dogs of theArizona Fall League.[53]

Pan has represented theChinese Taipei national baseball team in international competition. He participated in the2019 U-18 Baseball World Cup, allowing 3 earned runs in 5.1 innings of work over 3 appearances, as the team would go on to win the championship. Pan was a more productive member of their team for the2020 U-23 Baseball World Cup, allowing no earned runs over 4 appearances totaling 4 innings of work, but the team would fall in the Super Round. He also represented Taiwan at the2023 Asian Baseball Championship, though only faced one batter during the tournament.[54] Pan was named to Taiwan's roster for the2024 WBSC Premier12.[55]

Gabriel Alejandro Rincones Jr. (born March 3, 2001) is an Americanprofessional baseballoutfielder in thePhiladelphia Phillies organization.

Rincones was born inBoynton Beach, Florida to Venezuelan parents and his family moved toVenezuela shortly after he was born. His family relocated toScotland when he was six years old after his father, a former pitcher in theSeattle Mariners system, was hired as an offshore safety advisor in the oil industry.[56][57] Rincones moved back to Venezuela at age 12 to play baseball and lived with an aunt before moving to live with another aunt inTampa, Florida, where he'd eventually attendPlant High School.[58]

Rincones played junior college baseball atSt. Petersburg College. As a freshman, he batted .432 with 11 doubles, four home runs and 28 RBIs. Rincones was named theFlorida State College Activities Association (FCSAA) Player of the Year after hitting for a .415 average with 19 doubles, six home runs, and 43 RBIs during his sophomore season. He also committed to transfer toFlorida Atlantic University (FAU) for his remaining eligibility.[59] Rincones drafted by theSan Diego Padres in the 19th round of the2021 Major League Baseball draft, but opted not to sign with the team.[60] In his only season playing for the FAU Owls, Rincones batted .346 with 19 home runs and 69 RBIs and was named theConference USA Newcomer of the Year.[61]

Rincones was selected in the third round of the2022 Major League Baseball draft by thePhiladelphia Phillies.[62] He would make his professional debut in 2023 for theSingle-AClearwater Threshers, before being promoted to theHigh-AJersey Shore BlueClaws on June 12.[12] Rincones opened the 2024 season with theDouble-AReading Fightin Phils. He posted a .300/.417/.600 slash line across 60 plate appearances with the team before landing on the injured list due a right thumb ligament tear on April 24.[63] After a late season return, Rincones finished the season with a .263/.357/.487 slash line at the AA level. He was then sent to theGlendale Desert Dogs of theArizona Fall League following the season.

Rincones has represented theGreat Britain national baseball team in international competition.[64] Competing with the team during the2021 European Baseball Championship, Rincones played in six games, hitting .259 with three doubles and four RBI.[65]

Austin Schulfer (born December 22, 1995) is an Americanprofessional baseballpitcher in thePhiladelphia Phillies organization.

Schulfer playedcollege baseball for theMilwaukee Panthers for four seasons. As a senior, he went 6–5 with a 2.96 ERA in 14 starts.[66]

Schulfer was drafted in the 19th round, with the 574th overall selection, of the2018 Major League Baseball draft by theMinnesota Twins.[67] After signing with the team, he was assigned to theElizabethton Twins of theRookie-levelAppalachian League, where he went 3–0 with a 1.58 ERA in 11 appearances with seven starts.[68] Schulfer spent the 2019 season with the Single–ACedar Rapids Kernels of theMidwest League and went 7–6 with a 3.96 ERA and 124 strikeouts in97+23 innings pitched.[69] He did not play in a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of theCOVID-19 pandemic.[70] Schulfer played for theDouble-AWichita Wind Surge in 2021 and had a 6–8 record with a 4.34 ERA in 24 starts. He returned to Wichita at the beginning of the 2022 season and was moved to a role as a relief pitcher. He made 15 appearances and had a 0.39 ERA before earning a promotion to the Triple-ASt. Paul Saints.[71] Schulfer made 11 appearances for St. Paul in 2024, compiling a 5.09 ERA with 14 strikeouts across17+23 innings pitched. He was released by the Twins organization on June 7, 2024.[72]

On June 13, 2024, Schulfer signed a minor league contract with theDetroit Tigers.[73] He spent the remainder of the campaign with the Triple–AToledo Mud Hens, also logging two scoreless appearances for the Single–ALakeland Flying Tigers. In 23 appearances for Toledo, Schulfer recorded a 5.14 ERA with 45 strikeouts over 35 innings of work. He elected free agency following the season on November 4.[74]

On December 12, 2024, Schulfer signed a minor league contract with thePhiladelphia Phillies.[75]

Eduardo Ricardo Tait Velasco (born August 27, 2006) is a Panamanianprofessional baseballcatcher in thePhiladelphia Phillies organization.

Tait signed with the Philadelphia Phillies as an international free agent on January 15, 2023.[12] He spent the 2023 season with theDominican Summer League Phillies, earning Mid-Season All-Star honors and system hitter of the month honors for July.[12] Tait started the 2024 season with theRookie-levelFlorida Complex League Phillies. He would be named the FCL's player of the month for the month of June.

Tait has also representedPanama at the international level. He played for the team at the2022 U-18 Baseball World Cup, during which he went 8-20 with four doubles and six RBI in eight games for thePanama national baseball team.[76]

Jordan Lee Viars (born July 18, 2003) is an Americanbaseball outfielder in thePhiladelphia Phillies organization.

Viars grew up inFrisco, Texas and attendedReedy High School. As a senior, he batted .464 with eight home runs and 26 RBIs.[77] Viars had committed to playcollege baseball atArkansas prior to signing with the Phillies.[78]

Viars was selected in the third round of the2021 Major League Baseball draft by thePhiladelphia Phillies.[79] After signing with the team he was assigned to theRookie-levelFlorida Complex League Phillies, where he slashed .255/.406/.468 in 64 plate appearances.[80] Viars missed the beginning of the 2022 season due to an ankle injury.[81] He was sent to the FCL Phillies on a rehab assignment in June before joining theClearwater Threshers of theSingle-AFlorida State League.[82]
