Jean-Jacques Croteau (18 January 1930 – 3 December 2025) was a Canadian politician of theUnion Nationale (UN).[1]
Born inMontreal on 18 January 1930, Croteau was the son of transport authority manager William Croteau and his wife, Jeanne Girouard. He studied at theÉcole Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague, theCollège Sainte-Marie de Montréal,McGill University and theUniversité de Sherbrooke. In 1960, he was admitted to theBar of Quebec.[2] He practiced law in Montreal and joinedKiwanis before his 1969 election to theNational Assembly of Quebec, representingSainte-Marie. He was defeated in1970 and was nominated by theProgressive Conservative Party in1984 federal election inRichmond—Wolfe, but was defeated again.[2] In 1985, he was nominated for theSuperior Court of Quebec.[2]
Croteau died on 3 December 2025 at the age of 95.[1]
