Jayden Quinn Oosterwolde (born 26 April 2001) is a Dutch professionalfootballer who plays as aleft-back orcentre-back forSüper Lig clubFenerbahçe.
Oosterwolde began his career with local club ZAC before moving to theTwente youth academy in 2012.[3]
In June 2020, he signed his first contract with theTwente/Heracles Academy, the shared U21 side of the two clubs, after emerging from the Twente football academy.[4] He was supposed to be part of the U21 football team in the 2020–21 season, but after trials at both Heracles and Twente, both clubs wanted to sign him. He eventually chose Twente, where he signed a three-year contract in July 2020 and joined their first team.[5][6]
On 12 September 2020, he made his professional debut as a starter in a home match againstFortuna Sittard. He provided the assist from whichQueensy Menig scored the 1–0 goal as Twente won 2–0.[7]
On 31 January 2022, Oosterwolde signed withSerie B sideParma in Italy on loan with an obligation to buy.[8] On 5 February 2022, he made his debut with the team againstBenevento inSerie B.
On 30 June 2022, Twente officially announced his permanent joining to Parma.[9]
On 30 January 2023, Oosterwolde signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Turkish sideFenerbahçe for a reported fee of €6 million.[10][11]
He made his continental debut in a 1–0UEFA Europa League win overSevilla on 16 March 2023.[12] On 24 August 2023, he scored his first goal with the team against his childhood clubTwente inUEFA Europa Conference League match, Fenerbahçe won 5–1.[13]
2023–24 Süper Lig season is his breakthrough season, and with this season, he started to enter the radar of Europe's elite teams.[14] He made 27Süper Lig matches, 13 continental matches with two goals, and also played 3Turkish Cup matches.
On 20 October 2024, heruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee in theSüper Lig match againstSamsunspor and was expected to be out for about seven months.[15]
Born in the Netherlands, Oosterwolde is of Surinamese and Indonesian descent.[16]
