Javon Anthony Walton[1] (born July 22, 2006), also known by hisring nameWanna, is an American actor andprofessional boxer,[2] who is best known for his portrayal of Ashtray in theHBO seriesEuphoria. After his work inEuphoria, he began working on the television seriesUtopia,The Umbrella Academy, and the filmSamaritan.
Walton was born on July 22, 2006,[3] inAtlanta, Georgia,[4] to his father, DJ Walton, a boxing coach and founder of athletics apparel company Onward Athletics,[5] and his mother, Jessica Walton.[6][7]
He has three siblings: a fraternal[8] twin brother, Jaden; an older sister, Jayla; and a younger brother, Daelo.[4][7]
He was homeschooled for most of his childhood due to his boxing career.[9]
In June 2019, Walton appeared in theHBO television seriesEuphoria as Ashtray,[10] before landing a main role in theAmazon Prime Video streaming seriesUtopia (2020) as Grant Bishop.[11] In 2021, he appeared in the animated comedy horror filmThe Addams Family 2 asPugsley Addams.[12] In 2022, he starred in theNetflix superhero television seriesThe Umbrella Academy, and in the superhero thriller filmSamaritan as Sam Cleary.[13] In 2024, he starred in the streaming seriesUnder the Bridge.[14]
On December 21, 2023, it was announced that Walton will make his professional boxing debut on March 2, 2024, at theJosé Miguel Agrelot Coliseum inSan Juan, Puerto Rico.[15]
On his debut, Walton fought American professional boxer Joshua Torres in a 4-round fight and the bout ended in amajority decision draw.
Walton was scheduled to face Erik Hanley in the co-main event of MVP 8 on September 6, 2024 in Orlando, FL.[16][17] On August 26, 2024 it was announced that Walton was forced to withdraw from the fight due to medical infection.[18][19]
On November 8, 2024 it was announced that Walton was set to face Erik Hanley in a rescheduled four-round super featherweight bout in Orlando, FL on December 13, 2024.[20]
