Javiera Ignacia Paillán Pineda (born 27 December 2000) is a Chileanfootballer who plays as amidfielder forPalestino [es] and theChile national team.
Born inToltén, Chile, Paillán is a product ofDeportes Temuco [es].[1] She spent ten years with them until 2023, becoming theteam captain.[2][3]
In 2024, Paillán switched toPalestino [es].[4][2]
At under-17 level, Paillán was called up to the Chile national team alongside her teammate Ámbar Riquelme in October 2015.[1] The next year, she represented them in theSouth American Championship.[5][6]
In 2019, she was a member of Chile at under-20 in the preparations for the2020 South American Championship.[7]
At senior level, she received her first call up for thefriendly matches againstGuatemala in May and June 2024.[3][8] She made her debut in the second match, a 1–6 win.[9]
Paillán is ofMapuche descent and was honored by theMinistry of Sports of Chile and theNational Corporation for Indigenous Development (CONADI) in March 2017.[10][11]
