Janie Ward-Engelking (born inCaldwell, Idaho) is an American politician serving as aDemocratic member of theIdaho Senate, representing District 18 since December 2013.[1][2] She previously represented District 18 Seat A in theIdaho House of Representatives.[3][4]

Education

After attendingWhittier College, Ward-Engelking earned her Bachelor of Arts degree fromIdaho State University and her Master of Arts fromBoise State University.

In November 2013 Ward-Engelking expressed interest in being appointed to theIdaho Senate to succeed Durst, who resigned.[9] On December 20, 2013, Gov.Butch Otter appointed her to the Idaho Senate to finish Durst's term.[2]
