James M. Murphy (born November 15, 1969) is an Americanstate legislator serving in theMassachusetts House of Representatives since 2001. He is aWeymouth resident and a member of theDemocratic Party.[1] He attendedBoston College High School,Merrimack College andSuffolk University Law School. Before election to the Massachusetts House, he was anAssistant District Attorney forNorfolk County, Massachusetts. He represents the4th Norfolk district, comprising most of Weymouth and one precinct ofHingham, Massachusetts.
