James J. McCrea (died 31 January 1969) was anIrish politician, farmer and businessman. He was aLabour Party member ofSeanad Éireann from 1948 to 1957. He wasnominated by the Taoiseach to the6th Seanad in 1948.[1] He was elected to7th Seanad in 1951 by theAdministrative Panel, and to the8th Seanad in 1954 by theAgricultural Panel.[1] He did not contest the 1957 Seanad election.[1]
He stood unsuccessfully forDáil Éireann on two occasions.[2] He stood as a Labour Party candidate for theWicklow constituency; at the1948 general election,[2] and at the June 1953 by-election.[2]
