TheJameh Mosque of Mehrabad (Arabic:جامع مهر أباد;Persian:مسجد جامع مهرآباد), also known as theMehr Abad Jameh Mosque and as theMihrabad Camii, is aShi'iteFriday mosque, located in Mehrabad Square,Bonab, in the province ofEast Azerbaijan,Iran. The mosque was built during theSafavid era.[2][1][3] The mosque was constructed in a big square with a porch,seraglio,minaret andsanctuary that are different from most other mosques of the Safavid era.[1]
The mosque was added to theIran National Heritage List in 1968, administered by theCultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran.
