Jamal Al Sharif (Arabic:جمال الشريف; born 8 December 1954) is a retired football referee fromDamascus,Syria. He is mostly known for supervising six matches in theFIFA World Cup. Two matches in1986, one in1990 and three in1994, including the second round match betweenBulgaria andMexico. He also supervised a single game betweenArgentina andIvory Coast in1992 King Fahd Cup, The first edition ofFIFA Confederations Cup inSaudi Arabia. He also officiated at the1988 Olympics. He worked forbeIN Sports channels as an analyst from the opening of the channel in 2003 until 2020.
