Jyothula Nehru is the currentMLA of the constituency, having won the2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election fromTelugu Desam Party.[3] As of 2024, there are a total of 231,894 electors in the constituency.[needs update][4] The constituency was established in 1955, as per theDelimitation Orders (1955).
