Jagadish Joshila is an Indianwriter andnovelist known for his contributions toNimadi literature.[2] He was awarded thePadma Shri in 2025 for his work in preserving and promoting the cultural and literary heritage of theNimar region inMadhya Pradesh.[3][4]
Jagadish Joshila hails from theKhargone district ofMadhya Pradesh.[5] He developed a passion forliterature from a young age, which later became the foundation of his literary career.[6]
Joshila has authored numerous works inNimari, a regional language spoken in parts ofMadhya Pradesh. His writings focus on folklore, cultural narratives, and traditional themes that depict the lifestyle and history of theNimar region.[7] His ability to blend literature with folk traditions has earned him recognition.[8]
