Jade Trini Goring (born November 6, 1969), formerly known by thestage nameJade Trini, is anAmericansinger. Goring was also briefly a member of theelectronic/house/old school hip hop groupMantronix, in 1991.

Early years

Goring was born inQueens, New York. She attended Julia Richman High School inManhattan. After high school, she furthered her studies at theUniversity of Massachusetts Amherst.

Secular music career

Following her graduation from college, Goring returned to New York and pursued a professional career inacting, singing, anddancing. She landed roles inmusicals such asDreamgirls andThe Wiz.

While on the road travelling with a touring company ofThe Wiz, Goring was asked byMantronix group memberBryce Wilson, to consider being the lead vocalist for theCapitol Records recording group.[1] Goring agreed, and joined the group as lead singer on the 1991 album,The Incredible Sound Machine.

The Incredible Sound Machine was a further departure from Mantronix's original, heavilysynthesized old school hip hop sound, and relied instead on Goring's vocals on the majority of the album'snew jack swing,R&B, andhouse music influenced tracks.[2]

Shortly afterThe Incredible Sound Machine's release and eight-weekEuropean promotional tour ended, Mantronix broke up.

Goring later worked and toured as a background singer withrapperMonie Love on her 1991Monie Love Tour. Goring also had the opportunity to work withhouse musicproducerDavid Morales andR&B singer/songwriterAngie Stone during this period.

Gospel music career

Goring became aborn again Christian in August 1992. She is currently[when?] the Event Coordinator and member of Christ Alive Christian Center in theBronx, New York.

Goring released her debutcontemporary gospel album,The Devil Lost Another One, on theindependentCouffe Music label in 2003.

Goring currently[when?] resides inRidgefield, Connecticut.
