Jacob Fry Jr. (June 10, 1802 – November 28, 1866) was aJacksonian andDemocratic member of theU.S. House of Representatives from theCommonwealth of Pennsylvania in the United States.
Jacob Fry Jr. was born inTrappe, Pennsylvania on June 10, 1802. He taught school in Trappe, and served as the clerk of courts ofMontgomery County, Pennsylvania, from 1830 to 1833.
Fry was elected as a Jacksonian to theTwenty-fourth Congress and reelected as a Democrat to theTwenty-fifth Congress. He was not a candidate for renomination in1838.
He subsequently engaged in the mercantile business in Trappe. In 1853 and 1854, he was elected as a member of thePennsylvania House of Representatives. He then served asPennsylvania Auditor General from 1857 to 1860 before resuming his mercantile work.
Fry died in Trappe in 1866, and was interred in theAugustus Lutheran Church Cemetery.
