John "Jack" Skahan (born February 7, 1998) is an American professionalsoccer player who plays as amidfielder forMajor League Soccer clubSan Jose Earthquakes.[1]
Skahan played with thePhiladelphia Union academy,[2][3] and later as an amateur player in theNational Premier Soccer League withMemphis City FC.[4]
Skahan went on to play four years ofcollege soccer at theUniversity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between 2016 and 2019, making a total of 71 appearances, scoring 12 goals and tallying 12 assists.[3]
While at college, Skahan appeared forUSL League Two sidesWilmington Hammerheads,[5]San Francisco City FC[6] andNorth Carolina FC U23.[7]
Skahan was selected by theSan Jose Earthquakes with the 27th pick in the second round of the2020 MLS SuperDraft.[8] In February 2020, the Earthquakes signed Skahan to a multi-year contract.[9]
