Jack Hobbs (28 September 1893 – 4 June 1968) was a Britishstage andfilm actor who appeared in more than forty films.[1] After making his debut in the 1915 silentThe Yoke Hobbs appeared in a mixture ofleading andsupporting roles in both the silent and sound eras. He played the hero in severalquota quickies of the 1930s, includingAll That Glitters (1936).[2] He was cast as an effectively glib, smooth-talking antagonist in twoGeorge Formby filmsNo Limit (1935) andIt's in the Air (1938).[3]
