Jacek Marek Zieliński (Polish pronunciation:[ˈjat͡sɛkˈmarɛkʑɛˈʎiɲskʲi]; born 10 October 1967) is a Polishfootball executive, former professionalmanager andplayer who played as adefender. He is currently an advisor ofLegia Warsaw's board,[1] and was the club'ssporting director from December 2021 to December 2024.[2]
In 1999, he won thePolish Footballer of the Year title.[3] He used to work as an assistant manager of thePoland national team.[4]
Born inWierzbica, Radom County, Zieliński spent most of his career playing forLegia Warsaw. He played in the quarterfinal of the1995–96 UEFA Champions League.
Zieliński played for thePoland national team. He made 60 appearances and scored one goal and was a participant at the2002 FIFA World Cup.
