California's 19th State Assembly district is one of 80CaliforniaState Assembly districts. It is currently represented byDemocrat Catherine Stefani of San Francisco.

District profile

The district encompasses the western, more residential parts ofSan Francisco along with several of its southern suburbs inSan Mateo County, making it slightly more friendly towardsRepublicans than the neighboring17th District. It also includes the (uninhabited)Farallon Islands. The San Francisco side of theGolden Gate Bridge is located in this district.
