Javoddron Reon Holloway "J. C." Copeland (born July 21, 1991) is an American formercollege football player who was adefensive end andfullback for theLSU Tigers. He earned first-teamAll-American honors as a fullback in 2012. He was signed as anundrafted free agent by theDallas Cowboys of theNational Football League (NFL) in 2014.

High school career

A native ofColumbus, Georgia, Copeland attendedTroup County High School inLaGrange, Georgia, where he was a two-way lineman and teammates with future NFL linebackerReuben Foster. Regarded as a four-star recruit byRivals.com, Copeland was listed the No. 17 weakside defensive end prospect in his class.[1]

College career

Originally recruited toLSU as a defensive lineman, Copeland was switched to fullback in histrue freshman season. In 2012, he was named All-American byPro Football Weekly.[2]

Copeland was selected to play in the January 2014 edition of theNFLPA Collegiate Bowl. He played for the winning National team and was named game MVP after rushing for two touchdowns.[3][4][5]

Dallas Cowboys

In May 2014, Copeland signed with theDallas Cowboys as an undraftedfree agent.[7][8] The Cowboys released Copeland on August 25, 2014.[9]

New York Jets

Copeland was signed by theNew York Jets on May 11, 2015.[10] He was released on August 1, 2015.[11]
