TheJŽ 664 locomotives were a class of diesel locomotives operated byYugoslav Railways. They are aGM-EMD export model of typeEMD G26, subclass 664-0 was built by EMD, subclass 664-1 was built byĐuro Đaković from 1972[2] until 1984.[3]
After the breakup of Yugoslavia the locomotives were split. The 664-0 subclass were split between Croatia asHŽ series 2062 (60 units), and Serbia (5 units); the 664-1 subclass were transferred to the Slovenian Railways (asSŽ series 664), 20 units.[2][4]
1984: On 5 November, the first two diesel electric engines of the series 664-100, manufactured by General Motors and assembled by the Duro Dakoviae factory, arrive from Slavonski Brod in Slovenia. They are immediately nicknamed "Reagan"
