Thespotted greenbul (Ixonotus guttatus) orspotted bulbul, is a species ofsongbird in thebulbul family, Pycnonotidae. It is classified in themonotypic genusIxonotus.[2] It is widely spread throughout theAfrican tropical rainforest, from Sierra Leone and Guinea to Ghana; southern Nigeria to Uganda, northern Tanzania, eastern and central Democratic Republic of the Congo and extreme north-western Angola.[3] Its naturalhabitats aresubtropical or tropical dry forest,subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, and moistsavanna.[1]
