Iwonicz[iˈvɔnit͡ʂ] is avillage in the administrative district ofGmina Iwonicz-Zdrój, withinKrosno County,Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north ofIwonicz-Zdrój, 10 km (6 mi) south-east ofKrosno, and 50 km (31 mi) south of the regional capitalRzeszów.[1]
During theGerman occupation of Poland (World War II), in 1943–1944, the occupiers operated aforced labour camp forJewish men in the village.[2]
