Ichapur (also known asIchhapur, Ishapore) is a neighbourhood inNorth Barrackpur ofNorth 24 Parganas district in theIndianstate ofWest Bengal. It is a part of the area covered byKolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA).[1]
Ichapore is located at22°49′N88°22′E / 22.81°N 88.37°E /22.81; 88.37. It has an average elevation of 12 m (39 ft).[2]
96% of the population ofBarrackpore subdivision (partly presented in the map alongside) live in urban areas. In 2011, it had a density of population of 10,967 per km2 The subdivision has 16 municipalities and 24 census towns.[3]
