TheIsfahanNuclear Technology/Research Center (مرکز بینالمللی علوم و فنون هستهای) is Iran's largest atomic scientific center, located south east ofIsfahan city, centralIsfahan County,[1][2] and with 10MW[3] capacity.[4][5][6] Its front is Pishgam Energy Industries Corporation.
It is partly surveilled by UNOInternational Atomic Energy Agency under theJoint Comprehensive Plan of Action program.[7][8]
Isfahan Nuclear District includes (mainly supplied by China):[9][10]
It was renamed from Uranium Conversion Facility (UCF).[11]
It was founded in 1970s with French assistance.[12]
On 13 June 2025,Israel launched airstrikes at the nuclear facility, damaging or destroying the Uranium Conversion facility as well as damaging the Fuel Plate Fabrication Plant and a fourth critical building.[13][14]
On 22 June 2025, theUnited States Air Force executedairstrikes in Iran’s nuclear facilities, including the Isfahan Nuclear Technology/Research Center.[15][16]
