Irek Envarovich Faizullin[a] (born 8 December 1962) is a Russian politician who is currently theMinister for Construction and Housing since 10 November 2020.[1] He was deputy minister for construction and housing from 22 January 2020 until 9 November 2020,[2] whenPrime Minister of RussiaMikhail Mishustin nominated Faizullin for the post of Minister of Construction & Housing. He was approved by theState Duma and confirmed the post on 10 November.[3]
In May 2022 theUnited States Department of the Treasury placed sanctions on Faizullin pursuant toExecutive Order14024 as a member of theGovernment of Russia. He is also a member of the board of directors ofRussian Railways.[4]
Sanctioned by theUK government in 2022 in relation toRusso-Ukrainian War.[5]
