Inxuba Yethemba Municipality (Xhosa:uMasipala wase Inxuba Yethemba;Afrikaans:Inxuba Yethemba Munisipaliteit), formerly known asCradock Municipality, is alocal municipality within theChris Hani District Municipality, in theEastern Cape province ofSouth Africa. The seat isCradock.
The municipal council consists of eighteen members elected bymixed-member proportional representation. Nine councillors are elected byfirst-past-the-post voting in ninewards, while the remaining nine are chosen fromparty lists so that the total number of party representatives is proportional to the number of votes received. In theelection of 1 November 2021 theAfrican National Congress (ANC) won a majority of ten seats on the council.[3][4]
