Interrupting Chicken is achildren'sanimatedtelevision series forApple TV+. The series is based on thechildren's book of the same name byDavid Ezra Stein. The first season was released on November 18, 2022.[1] Later, the second season premiered on September 29, 2023.[2]
The series follows a little red chicken named Piper who is a writer and likes to jump in to rewrite stories with imagination.

On August 29, 2022, Apple announced new kids and family programs for fall 2022. WhichInterrupting Chicken was one of the series to be released.[4] The first season was released on November 18, 2022. With the holiday episode which is also the season finale was released on December 2, 2022.[1][5] The second season was released on September 29, 2023.[2]
Interrupting Chicken was nominated forOutstanding Younger Voice Performer in an Animated or Preschool Animated Program forJuliet Donenfeld and Outstanding Writing for a Preschool Animated Program at the2nd Children's and Family Emmy Awards.[6] It is also nominated forOutstanding Preschool Animated Series at the3rd Children's and Family Emmy Awards.[7]
