Innocent Maela (born 14 August 1992) is a South African professionalsoccer player who plays as adefender forOrlando Pirates, which hecaptains, and theSouth Africa national team.[2]
He is the son of footballer Eric Maela and he is also paternal half-brother ofTsepo Masilela.[3] He married Zenande Funani on 21 March 2025 inMaclear, Eastern Cape.[4]
