Innenheim (French pronunciation:[inənaim];[3]Alsatian:Ìnnle) is acommune in theBas-Rhindepartment inAlsace in north-easternFrance.[4]

Among speakers of the local language, the village is often called "Enle" or "Inle" according to the speaker's accent. The suffix "..le" is anAlsatian affectionate diminutive, and equivalent to "..lein" in modernhigh German.

The village is positioned betweenStrasbourg andObernai. To the north-west of the commune there is an access junction with the principal north–south autoroute inAlsace, theAutoroute A35.
