Infinix Mobile is a Hong Kong–based Chinese smartphone company, founded in April 2013 byTranssion.[2][3][4][5]
The company has research and development centers inAfrica andChina and designs their phones in Nigeria. Infinix Mobile is available inAsia and approximately 30 countries in theMiddle East andAfrica.[6][7] The company was also the first brand of smartphones to be manufactured in Pakistan.[8]
Its operating system,XOS, remainsclosed source.
In 2017, the company saw an increase in market share in Egypt, positioning itself as the third-largest brand afterSamsung andHuawei.[9]
Infinix was a sponsor of theIndian Super League teamMumbai City during the 2017–2018 season.[10][11]
On May 8, 2018, Infinix Mobile Nigeria entered an endorsement agreement with musicianDavido to serve as the brand's ambassador in Nigeria.[12]
