Indranil Biswas (born 19 October 1964)[1] is an Indianmathematician. Currently, He is asenior professor ofmathematics at theShiv Nadar University,Delhi-NCR. He is known for his work in the areas ofalgebraic geometry,differential geometry, anddeformation quantization.
In 2006, theGovernment of India awarded him theShanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize inmathematical sciences for his contributions to "algebraic geometry, centering aroundmoduli problems ofvector bundles."[2]
Biswas is an Indian citizen. He received aPh.D. inmathematics from theUniversity of Mumbai.
