Indite is an extremely rareindium-ironsulfide mineral, found inSiberia. Itschemical formula is FeIn2S4.
It occurs as replacement ofcassiterite inhydrothermal deposits. It is associated withdzhalindite, cassiterite andquartz.[2][3] It was first described in 1963 for an occurrence in the Dzhalinda tin deposit,Malyi Khingan Range,Khabarovskiy Kray,Far-Eastern Region,Russia.[5]
