Indian Key Historic State Park is anisland within theFlorida State Park system, located just a few hundred yards southeast ofU.S. 1 within theFlorida Keys off theHawk Channel passage. The island was home to the town ofIndian Key, Florida, in the middle of the 19th century but is now an uninhabitedghost town.[2] It is frequently visited by tourists and is the subject of anarchaeological project to uncover the historic building foundations.

The park was listed on theNational Register of Historic Places in 1972.[1]
