Inazuma Eleven (イナズマイレブン,Inazuma Irebun; "Lightning Eleven") is afootball themed media franchise created byLevel-5. The franchise began with the release ofInazuma Eleven in 2008, with the game series selling over 8 million copies worldwide by 2016.[1] In addition to video games, the franchise also includes amanga series and severalanime television series and films. Most media in the franchise are not released in the Americas; exceptions include a Nintendo 3DS port of the original game, three of the anime series, and the latest gameInazuma Eleven: Victory Road.
A number of anime television series and spin-offs have been produced by Level-5, in conjunction with TV Tokyo andOLM.
