Inaechelys is a potentiallydubiousgenus ofbothremydidpleurodiran turtle that was discovered in theMaria Farinha Formation ofBrazil. The genus consists solely oftype speciesI. pernambucensis.[1]
Inaechelys was discovered in the Poty Cement Quarry, inPaulista, Brazil in 2005, by a team from theFederal University of Pernambuco.[1]
The holotype consists of a carapace, which is fragmented but almost complete. The mesoplastron is not preserved, though its outline is still visible. The anal notch is small, semicircular and wider than it is deep.
Pedro Romano placed the species in the genusRosasia in 2016.[2]
