TheImpulse is an Australiansailing dinghy that was designed byArthur Caldwell as aone-designracer and first built in 1975.[1]
The design was originally intended as a wooden boat foramateur construction, but has more recently been manufactured offibreglass. In the past it was built byTim Wilson Yacht Design, but that company is out of business. Today it is built byFormula Sailcraft (now known as the Dinghy Shop) inWilliamstown, Victoria,Australia. Production started in 1975 and the type remains in production.[1][2][3][4]
